Ulyana is a fine example of what happens when you properly set-up a 2012 Les Paul Custom. I’m amazed Gibson let her out of the factory with the worse-than-random intonation she arrived on our doorstep with. A little coaxing and a spot of laser-like precision and now she plays like a dream.
She arrived with just enough annoying dinks to put the Les Paul purist off the scent. Now she has one of the best crackle-glaze finishes you’ll ever see. We really ought to patent the ground-in blood, sweat and tears effect.
Forget about pristine white Les Paul Custom’s, Ulyana shows us what Les Paul’s are really supposed to look like.
