A007: Direct Detour Beaster

Absolutely stunning Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1978 that lived a long gigging life before the original owner retired.
Originally sunburst the Beaster was stripped back to the wood and varnished by the original owner. He also added a Bigsby tremolo  and a third pick up to give a separate fender strat sound when gigging. Deemed not up to the job, the original machineheads were replaced by a set of Schallers. Final touches came in the form of  brass scratchplate and backplates.

We’ve stripped the varnish and given the guitar a relic finish more fitting of its pedigree. Add a fret re-dress and several weeks of admiring sighs and she’s all set to hit the road again.

Rest assured if this baby was a leftie, it would never be leaving our clutches again.

When she goes, she goes with her original coffin hard shell case.
