Sonic blue G&L ASAT Telecaster Bass with an amazing pedigree.

The guitar was a special one-off order by a musical genius who, since the late 1990’s played bass player with sixties iconic band ‘The Animals’ alongside founding member John Steel and 1965 veteran Mick Gallagher. During this time he met up with Jerry Donahue, who at that time had an endorsement deal with G & L. Jerry introduced him to G & L and he asked if they could make him a telecaster type bass with an F hole. At the time they didnt think it was possible due to where the bridge would go but agreed to make me one.

(Subsequent to the request, G&L have now continued a telecaster type f hole bass)

Not wanting a shiny bass, the bass was delivered before it was painted. It was then given to Brian Eastwood, one of the UK’s top luthiers and he finished the bass in the classic sonic blue and gave the bass a vintage relic appearance.

All we’ve had to do to it is dress the frets, give it a precision set-up and stand and stare at it in admiration for a few weeks.
